Emapea's debut has been steady bubbling in the underground since it's release in 2016. On Seeds, Roots & Fruits, the young Polishproducersets the bar impressively highwith a variety of instrumental beatsthat guaranteeconsistent and steady head nodsthroughoutits runtime. TBH it almost feels likesome lost beat/downtempo gem from the late 90's (classic Mo'Wax / Ninja Tune aesthetic definitely in effect), so I have to keep reminding me this is actually contemporary material (and really good material at that). Over 16 tracksEmapea proves he is proficient in agamut of beat styles - from straight up sample-based hip-hop beats (innaBeat Konducta vein), to psychedelic trip hop, and even some Portishead-likevibes (you'll know the one when you hear it). Recommended.
