The line & phono cables (excluding the True Balanced ones) are semi-symmetrical. This means that the shielding is only connected to the signal at one end, therefore the end marked with blue tags should be connected to the signal-receiving device. This is because Pro-Ject turntables (the tables without built-in preamps) are configured with balanced RCA outputs.
