Originally released in in 1980, Kaleidoscope is the third album from . The iconic British band had lost members John McKay and Kenny Morris before recording the 11-tracker, and Budgie (drummer) and John McGeoch (guitars) came in as replacements. With the new lineup, a new sound emerged, the biggest shake-up being the group's incorporation of synthesizers and drum machines. With that said, the title aptly summarizes the record, as it features a variety of sounds, imagery, and concepts playing with each other in a powerful, mesmerizing, and sinister way.
