Blackboard Jungle Dub is one of the benchmark dub albums - an all-time great for reggae music, one of 's most highly regarded and widely known works, and one of the very first all-dub albums to be released. The background on this is that it's a Lee Perry masterminded affair with a tight and extremely funky version of band laying down the tracks. At the time, Perry did not have a studio of his own, so legend has it that this was mixed down by the Dub Originator himself, , with some obvious help from Scratch. The combination of his mixing genius with Lee Perry's wild imagination makes just about every cut on here an amazing slice of perfection.
